Memory care focuses on fostering residents’ independence while maintaining their dignity through patience and guidance. Although we do not have a secured memory care unit, we support individuals with memory-loss conditions in a person-centered manner, keeping their individual desires and needs at the forefront of their care.
Recreation staff members personalize programming and offer support to all residents. Our morning exercise and sensory program promotes socialization and physical fitness, while offering stimulation in a controlled environment. We modify group and in-room activities to match our residents’ interests and abilities.
We accommodate the dietary needs that may accompany memory-loss conditions. We offer therapeutic diets and staff support during each meal. Residents can elect to eat in the social dining room, while receiving staff support.
We institute safe, creative behavioral interventions to care for residents with memory-loss conditions. In addition to behavioral interventions, we can administer medications under the close supervision of the attending physician and nursing staff when necessary.
